Judea Harvest has 3 focus areas
- Rural South Africa (the 3rd world component)
- SADEK countries (neighbouring South)
- West Africa (Francophone and Anglophone)
Judea Harvest equips, train and mobilize churches, pastors and evangelists to do their part to complete the great commission.
We provide wide based training of lay pastors and evangelists. Additionally we resource them with Bibles, training material, evangelism tools, tents and church buildings.
Training in Southern Africa
We currently have just over 11 000 enrolled students on live satellite training systems. These students gather in ± 300 schools spread over most of rural South Africa and SADEK countries.
Additionally we have trained 630 leaders in week long workshops on the topics of leadership, evangelism and church planting.
Training in West Africa
In Togo we have trained and mobilized 140 leaders into church planting efforts. The Togo training event hosted participants from Burkina Faso, Benin, Cameroon and Niger.
We are happy to report that we have placed an average of 20 (Twenty) evangelism/church planting tents per month in SADEK. Currently we have reached 2700 tally and one now aiming for dedication of tent number 3000.
We have built 8 (Eight) low cost churches in the past 6 months and currently there are 4 (Four) under construction.
These churches will serve as preaching points, community centers, Pre-school care centers; distribution points for bibles, aids Education and also serves as a satellite training school.
We are currently underway with church building projects in Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique.
In a joint venture with the Ekurhuleni Municipality we have fitted solar light systems to 2600 Squatter homes that have no electricity. These recipients receive a spiritual care package that includes a reach for life Bible. These packages are distributed by local churches to the recipients of the solar lights to also give the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. The following quote is received from our project coordinator –
“The project is going well thanks to the efforts of Louwrens and the installation teams! To date we have equipped 2,600 houses with solar lighting units and have as additional 1,400 lined up for the rest of the month. By the end of April that means we have impacted the daily lives of 4,000 households. Feedback from our previous settlement is that the project is even saving the local people’s lives as they no longer need to run across the main road to daily charge their cell phones… Praise the Lord for giving us an opportunity to do His work with Grace and Favour”.
Before After Bible distribution
Bibles have been delivered to all our regional coordinators to be used in discipleship of new believers. Additionally copies of Gospel of John have been distributed to all tents and evangelism churches.
Just over 1 000 Audio Bibles in different languages have been sent to areas with low literacy rate.
We have also distribute 3 000 packages of Bible stories and puzzles and accompanying material to the low literacy areas.
This area between Katimo Mulilo, Angola and Mongu has no roads, no electricity, no infrastructure and no churches. The area only became a regional district this year.
We have now formed a partnership between ourselves, Reach a Generation and hands of hope to evangelize this area.
We have trained 40 people in church planting strategies and have issued them with Audio Bibles, Bibles and evangelism tools and materials. We are happy to report that they have planted 18 churches in a 12 month period.
Next month we will start a new church at every water well that is drilled by RAG. A Church tent will be pitched at every water well and Pastors will be trained to head up those Churches. We will follow up successful churches with buildings.
Judea Harvest has a register office in Lome Togo, where Inoussa Gbadamassi is the director.
This initiative has already produced 110 new churches in rural Togo and served in neighboring Burkina Faso and Niger where 16 new churches has been planted.
In August we will deliver a shipment of 50 000 specially printed church planter Bibles that will serve us in the second wave of evangelism and church planting efforts in this region. Our yearly training event happened last week and again in January 2016.
In Benin and Niger we will start a second wave of church planting and follow up with a church building program in the next 12 months.
Judea Hope (www.judeahope.org) in Partnership with My Foundation (www.myfoundation.co.za) has successfully done a record breaking One Million Meal Packing event during 5 and 6 June 2015. The meals were packed by volunteers, from corporates, churches and schools whether donated R 25 000.00 for 50 boxes and 16 000 meals. Through a fun and engaging assembly line process, a team of 40 volunteers packed 16 000 meals in just three hours.
These boxes of food will be distributed to the pre-school Care Centers in our tent churches, shack churches and SNAP churches.
We want to sincerely thank every individual, corporate and foundation that partner with us to expand God’s kingdom and complete the great commission.
